If the stresses of Black Friday already have you acting like a grinch, turn that frown upside down because the Crested Butte Santa Ski Crawl is just 15 days away! On December 12, 2015 help set a world record by participating in this unique event. There are two main parts so you can pick and choose which best suit you this holiday season; the Santa Group Ski and the Santa Pub Crawl.
Santa Group Ski
The Santa Group Ski is open to all ages, all you need to participate is a Santa Suit (bring your own or purchase one while they last for just $20) and a ski pass. Registration opens at 8:00 am at the Base Area of the ski resort and lifts start at 9:00 a.m. Enjoy a morning of skiing before meeting the rest of the Santa’s at the Ice Bar (mid-mountain) at 2:30 p.m. The group ski takes off down the mountain at 3:30 p.m. HGTV magazine’s December issue just featured this event in an article titled “Holiday Hoopla from Coast to Coast”. Watch this video to see what the hoopla is all about.
Santa Pub Crawl
The pub crawl is ages 21 and up and begins at 2:30 p.m. at the Ice Bar (mid-mountain). You can purchase a $25 ticket that includes a free Santa suit and 5 drink vouchers. Ski with the rest of the Santa’s down to Butte 66 at the base area where you can catch a free shuttle bus into downtown where you continue the pub crawl.
